The American Dream: The Change Needed in Gun Control Laws Studies show that an estimated 55 million Americans own guns (USA Today). Guns are mainly used for protection, but are often debated whether if that is a fact. The Forms of Expression The English language is more complex than most people think. Although it is the third most spoken language in the entire world, there are many that do not know what it is, or how to use. That was the situation that I had faced during my childhood. Being brought up in an immigrant family, it was difficult to adapt to both worlds at once, both the American world, and my parent's world. It was harder getting to know both languages as well. As a child, I was struggling to know how to express myself due to this situation, and was put into many tribulations to achieve the skill of writing, which helped me to better understand who I am. Reflection of Draft of Literary Narrative

When writing about how I gained the skill of writing to become like some sort of author, I began to feel more accomplished with what I have done in order to get to where I am today. It gave me a better perspective on how I have grown from a child who was put into Special Ed to being an engineering student in City College. Don't get me wrong, I haven't become the smartest man in the world, far from that. But, I did see how much I've matured as a person, and not just a writer. When writing the first draft, I couldn't find that much to write about, so I began by free writing most of the experiences I had about writing, but later on I realized that I found out how to form this story. Thanks to both of the free writes, I got a better understanding on what to write about and how to form that story.
